Serve Our Government

That title might completely scare you or it might intrigue and entice you. Either way, we hope you’ll give it some strong consideration.

Our city government and staff make up one of four pillars that we consider when we move OUT toward our community. We believe that our municipal government and staff have a unique leadership role in our city and that our responsibility as a parish church is to understand their goals, victories, and challenges and come alongside them in whatever ways we can. We’ve done that through debates, voter information nights, attending City Council meetings, and more. We’re coming up on an exciting way for us to join our government and we hope you’ll give it a look.

Our City Council does not function without the voice of the people. The citizens of Englewood not only elect our council and mayor, we get to serve on Boards & Commissions that advise City Council on a plethora of issues like city planning, zoning, art, commerce, and a lot more. Right now there are at least five people from our church who are serving on Boards & Commissions. We’d like to double or triple that number this year if at all possible.

Joining Boards & Commissions is easy. Simply CLICK HERE to peruse the vacancies. There’s a link at the bottom of that page to apply. If you’d like to learn more about Boards & Commissions in general CLICK HERE.

If you have any questions at all about what it’s like to serve with Boards & Commissions or why this is a high value for our church, please feel free to contact our Parish Pastor (who serves on ACE) at nathan@thesacredgrace.com. He’d love to tell you more about his experience.
