The Sacred Grace Englewood 5th Anniversary Celebration Service
Our church has been able to continue its mission of being in and for the City of Englewood because of how you have given to this community. Over the past 5 years you have given your time, your talents, and your money so that together we can join God in the work he is doing here. Each year around our anniversary some see it as an opportunity to make a special financial gift to our church so that we can continue our mission for many years to come. If you feel so compelled, we would appreciate a special financial GIFT to make sure we are here in Englewood for another 5, 15, and 50 years.
If you are new with us we would love to get to know you and help you get connected with others in the church. You can fill out THIS short form and we will follow up with you later this week.

Song 1
Beautiful Things
All this pain
I wonder if I’ll ever find my way
I wonder if my life could really change, at all
All this earth
Could all that is lost ever be found?
Could a garden come out from this ground, at all?
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us
All around,
Hope is springing up from this old ground
Out of chaos life is being found, in you
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us
Oh, you make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us
You make me new,
You are making me new
You make me new,
You are making me new
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us
Oh, you make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us
You make me new,
You are making me new
You make me new,
You are making me new

Prayers of the People: Part 1
LEADER: On this fifth anniversary of our church, we are overwhelmed with gratitude. You, Lord, have provided for our church financially, relationally, missionally, civically, and in so many other ways over these years. We are so grateful for all you have done and for all you have yet to do in and through us.
EVERYONE: We thank you, oh Lord.
LEADER: We pray today for our parishioners, those whom you have brought to this church. We are thankful that they have committed themselves to the vision and mission of our church. We ask that you would sustain them in their work, their parenting, their schooling, their search for healing, and their pursuit of hope. We pray that you would give them fresh enthusiasm and vision for many more years of service to this city.
EVERYONE: Bless them, keep them, and grant them peace.
LEADER: We pray for those who are visiting our church today. We ask that you would bless them and extend grace and hospitality to them today. May they experience your love for them afresh this morning.
EVERYONE: Lord, hear our prayers.
LEADER: We pray for our staff, elders, and pastor. We ask that you protect them from harm, guide them toward peace, and instill in them the fruit of your Spirit. May they lead with humility, selflessness, and integrity.
EVERYONE: May they know the weight of their responsibility and the levity of your grace
Song 2
Yes and Amen
Father of kindness
You have poured out of grace
You brought me out of darkness
You have filled me with peace
Giver of mercy
You’re my help in time of need
Lord I can’t help but sing
Faithful you are
Faithful forever you will be
Faithful you are
All your promises are yes and Amen
All your promises are yes and Amen
Beautiful Saviour
You have brought me near
You pulled me from the ashes
You have broken every curse
Blessed redeemer
You have set this captive free
Lord I can’t help but sing
Faithful you are
Faithful forever you will be
Faithful you are
All your promises are yes and Amen
All your promises are yes and Amen
I will rest in your promises
My confidence is your faithfulness
I will rest in your promises
My confidence is your faithfulness
I will rest in your promises
My confidence is your faithfulness
I will rest in your promises
My confidence is your faithfulness
Faithful you are
Faithful forever you will be
Faithful yes you are
All your promises are yes and Amen
All your promises are yes and Amen
All your promises are yes and Amen
Prayers of the People: Part 2
LEADER: We pray for the welfare of the place we call home, our parish, the city of Englewood. We pray for those elected to office and those appointed to their positions of leadership. May they experience your grace, kindness, and conviction.
EVERYONE: Lord, hear our prayers.
LEADER: We pray for the workforce here in Englewood. We pray for those serving drinks and food, those maintaining parks and sidewalks, healthcare workers, architects, electricians, mechanics, manufacturers, bus drivers, and more. We ask that our economy would grow and continue to provide for our needs. We ask that employers would lead with generosity and kindness.
EVERYONE: Sustain us, oh Lord.
LEADER: We pray for the teachers, principals, staff, counselors, and Board of Directors for Englewood Schools. We ask that you provide the materials and support they need to educate our children well. We pray that the buses, the buildings, and the playgrounds would be incubators for growth, development, and equality. May our schools lead and educate with courage and kindness, never passing up an opportunity to help our children take one more step.
EVERYONE: Lord, hear our prayers.
LEADER: We pray for our neighbors. Whether they are living in poverty or plenty, a car or a house, a tent or an apartment, we ask that you would provide for both their spiritual and physical needs. We pray for their wellbeing and ask that our church would be a conduit of your grace toward them.
EVERYONE: Bless them, keep the, and grant them peace.
LEADER: And now let us pray with one, united voice the prayer that Jesus used to teach us how to pray.
EVERYONE: Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

Benediction
Generosity Prayer
All that we have we have received from God.
We bring nothing into this world and we take nothing out of it.
We choose to follow the way of Jesus and increase in generosity until it can be said, ”there is no one in need among us.”
We choose to be faithful stewards of all our resources: relationships, time, possessions, and money.
We choose to be generous because our Father is generous, and as his daughters and sons we want to show the world what He is like.
