Epiphany | 2021

The term epiphany means “to make known” or even “to reveal.” It’s a season of focusing on the mission of the church in reaching others by “showing” Jesus as the Light of the world, the Savior of all people. It’s also a time of focusing on Christian community, especially in healing the divisions of prejudice and bigotry that we all too often create between God’s children. It’s a season of Light and Love.

Epiphany is a season that remembers the coming of the Magi, bringing gifts to the child Jesus. This act of worship by the Magi was one of the first indications that Jesus came for ALL people, of all nations, and of all races.

Throughout the season of Epiphany, like the Magi, may you be curious, open handed, and courageous enough to follow hope toward the light shining in the darkness.
