The Responsibility of Freedom

It can be easy to think of the first century church as a utopian community, a perfect example of what the church should be, an archetype we’ve tried to get back to for 2000 years. But the truth is the early church was plagued by many of the same issues we face today: division, cults of personality, sexual immorality, and balancing personal freedom & corporate unity. This is seen no more clearly than in Paul’s letter to the Church in Corinth. This famous letter contains some of the most profound & beautiful, most difficult, and most abused sections of the New Testament.

Join us as we survey this letter written to encourage a young church to keep Christ at its center, to strive for unity, and to accept the great responsibility that comes with the great freedom: a message that is just as timely today as it was in its original time.
